Key Requirements

To qualify for the EU Blue Card, you must meet specific requirements regarding your professional status and offer of employment.

Salary Threshold

Your gross annual salary must be approximately at the level of the average gross annual salary in Slovenia (the threshold was lowered from 1.5× by the ZZSDT-E amendment, in force since 21 May 2025; confirm the exact figure at a consultation).

Qualification

A higher education degree (University) is required, or at least 3 years of relevant professional IT experience.

Employment Contract

You must have a valid work contract or a binding job offer for highly qualified employment for at least six months (the minimum was lowered from one year by the ZZSDT-E amendment, in force since 21 May 2025).
